What We Do

With the support of community partners, CLAP conducts free Community Legal Aid Clinics in neighourhoods throughout The Bahamas to provide opportunities for persons to seek legal advice, get general legal information and receive assistance navigating the legal system.

At Community Legal Aid Clinics, CLAP volunteers also provide members of the public with additional services like notarizations, assistance with completing court documents and demonstrations on how to use Court online services are available.

Through CLAP, persons on the family islands who cannot physically attend a scheduled Community Legal Aid Clinic in New Providence have the option of scheduling a virtual consultation with a CLAP volunteer attorney during the Clinic hours.
